@glenmann62, "before REM was ever heard of"? Um, not quite, although perhaps you hadn't heard of REM then. No offense -- I love both bands, but Winter Hours formed in 1983. I first saw REM live in Rochester, New York in late '81 or early '82, opening for the English Beat and touring in support of the "Chronic Town" EP. They were already on college radio at the time, especially "Gardening At Night."

Does anyone have the song "Why Don't You Say So"

@uchihasblood Hi! Which drummer? Albanese? If so, please tell John that Andrew from WNHU and Vermont says HEY!

I saw them in Neptune in 1990 at the Brass or Green Parrot (I can't remember the name). HG was an anthem thru college and great to "turn the lights down to".

weevie833 -- how funny, I took one look at this and said "that has to be the Loop Lounge." Then I read your comment below. I saw WH at the Loop many times, wouldn't dream of missing them as they always put on a fantastic show... Still one of my favorite albums.

Esta banda es una joya de la musica POP de los 80. Os recomiendo que escuchéis también Island of Jewels. Una maravilla.
@shakeythedj: Not "lens flare". That's the angel light over Joe's head.... I hope he knows how much he is missed....

The first time I heard Pearl Jam I thought "Wow the singer of Winter Hours has a new band". saw these guys live in Atlanta at the Cotton Club. They did a version of "Bus Stop" as an encore. Great band and thanks for posting it!
