Anthony Weiner denies Israeli occupation of the West Bank.

After a recent panel debate at the New School (NYC), congressman Anthony Weiner denied (for the second time of the night) that the West Bank is occupied. He also agreed with an audience member that Israel's eastern border is the Jordan River.

While discussing the nature of Israeli democracy, I asked the congressman if Israel is a democracy for the residents of al-Araqib, a Bedouin village in the Negev that has survived 18 demolitions by the Israeli state in the last seven months. All the residents of al-Araqib are Israeli citizens. I wasn't able to record the entire conversation (bad phone skills), but his response was basically that every democracy has its problems.

Such a shame when people are blinded by ethnic or religious loyalties in this manner. I'm just so glad there are truly inspirational figures like Chomsky and Finkelstein who can speak the truth on the matter and hopefully inspire others to do the same.

Weiner was a fraud and in reality only cared about two issues: (1) telling lies about Israel and covering up its crimes, and (2) his penis. Good riddance to a creep who took the American taxpayer for a ride - both with his salary and his support of this criminal regime.

Weiner is a very good politician - ready and willing to sell out his principles as a human being so that he may appeal to certain groups.
