In Dying To Have Known, filmmaker Steve Kroschel went on a 52-day journey to find evidence to the effectiveness of the Gerson Therapy -- a long-suppressed natural cancer cure. His travels take him across both the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans, from upstate New York to San Diego to Alaska, from Japan and Holland to Spain and Mexico. In the end, he presents the testimonies of patients, scientists, surgeons and nutritionists who testify to the therapy's efficacy in curing cancer and other degenerative diseases, and presents the hard scientific proof to back up their claims. You will hear from a Japanese medical school professor who cured himself of liver cancer over 15 years ago, a lymphoma patient who was diagnosed as terminal over 50 years ago as well as noted critics of this world-renowned healing method who dismiss it out of hand as "pure quackery." So the question that remains is, "Why is this powerful curative therapy still suppressed, more than 75 years after it was clearly proven to cure degenerative disease?" The viewers are left to decide for themselves.

Giving hope to the hopeless, a timeless classic perfected by religion. Do a little research and you'll find this 'treatment' to be a load of rubbish. You would think after all these years someone (including the Gerson Foundation) would bother to run a reputable trial. All known attempts to independently verify the results of the therapy have been negative and shown zero beneficial results. These are the facts and not a result of influence held by the drug industry.

Huh I guess thousands of testimonials are not good enough for some people, having watched 4 people die in my family from cancer, I've read alot on it to not become a victim some day, to not make the mistakes they did. If this is such bullshit, then watch"fat, sick and nearly dead", "food matters", Fork over Knives" and "A beautiful truth".... do some homework on the digestive track, and how the human being's digestive track is the length of a herbivore and not an omnivore.

On the film towards the end when Dr.W. Van Der Vegt is mention ,saying he will be working in a new cancer treatment soon to be open in Spain, where he'll be applying the Gerson Therapy. Does anyone know where is it? or where & how can I find that place?

There's a lack of Gerson success stories among these posts. As a nutritionist here's my professional advice: Any therapy that necessitates you sticking a load of coffee up your arse is a bad idea.

@MrJcman100 My mother tried it in desperation, it made her gravely ill and she ended up being hospitalized not because of her cancer but because of this dangerous therapy. Healthy eating is undoubtably good for you but this plan is not healthy and no amount of coffee shoved up your butt is going to shrink a tumor!

Wish my bride of 43 years and I had known about this back on her 63rd birthday in 2010, when she was diagnosed with stage 4 non-small call carcinoma of the lungs which had metastasized to her brain. She passed away in June 2011, after a valiant 16 month battle using all the "modern" technologies of radiation and chemotherapy. R.I.P. my love.

My diet is meat fruit and veggies all organic and grass feed meat.

I feel like a god.

Grains are what kills me.

I think real meat is just as important to fight cancer as all the juices and veggies.
