  • So glad this worked for you, and it's so simple! In my book 'From Shower To Stage...7 Easy Steps for Singing Like A Pro!' I really lay it out that way.....EASY. Singing shouldn't be a big mystery!

  • Oh, this is great! It's amazing how this simple tip can make such a huge difference. Have you looked at excerpts from my new book? It would be really helpful to you, with vocal exercises too. Find it at fromshowertostage . com

  • Wherever I go in the country I like to do quick video tips outdoors. It seems more fun, less pretentious, and just spontaneous to find an interesting spot and shoot a short video, rather than sitting behind a piano. It's sort of a 'where in the world is Beth Lawrence' thing, hope people like the travel spots!

  • Okay, staying on pitch is an easy one, and thanks for that suggestion! Very simply, when you begin supporting the voice you support the pitch! I'll do a video for you. Most people who are chronically flat just aren't using enough solid breath support.

    cheers,

  • Thanks for you comment. I'm talking about a voice that ISN'T pleasant to listen to. Personally, I don't think that Streisand has a 'nasal' voice, so that's not what I'm addressing here. People who have a problem with this are shooting their sound completely into the nose, or so much into the 'mask' that they have poor sound quality, and a lack of power. A truly 'nasal' voice isn't nice to listen to! Cheers, Beth

  • Thank you. This was a funny video to shoot because it was so windy! Beth Lawrence

  • I sometimes have a nasal voice for some random reason, but then some people told me even my studio recordings have that 'nasal tone' in them, other said not at all, I really don't want to redo the vocals so could anyone please check these out and see if it's nasal?

  • I really enjoyed this quick tip. I have a deviated septum so my voice can be nasal at times. According to me at least, but my friends wouldn't say anything. I tried this tip and for the first time I don't mind hearing my voice being played back to me on a recording. Thank you so much, I will definitely be wandering over to your blog soon! ♥ love and light
