Acids in the top? inerts on the bottom? I always keep my acids on the bottom so that in case of a leak there's nothing under it to damage. Just keep the acid containers in a spare glass beaker if you have one and low. It took me a while to do this but trust me, its worth it, you should get a tripod. Makes everything way more watchable and professional looking.

No it doesn't. The iron enters as a more powerful reducing agent than copper, so it forces it to take on two electrons, reducing it to a neutral copper atom. Iron is in turn oxidised to iron ions. Copper does not act as an oxidising agent.

@gleepdiddly i mean that copper sulfate could be at the less harmful chemicals

@thegodofchemistry I have no idea what this guy is on about this time

@gleepdiddly at reagebts maybe and hydrazin sulfate arent that healthy it is carcingenic
-
@thegodofchemistry Where else would it go? Besides, CuSO4+Fe->FeSO4+Cu copper sulfate plays the role of an oxidizer
-
copper sulfate arent a oxidizer
i think that you will get purer sodium nitrate if you mix sodium hydroxide with ammonium nitrate.
