SeaWorld's dolphin interaction program and what is really all about. When this video was first released in 1996, both SeaWorld Orlando and SeaWorld San Diego offered in water dolphin interaction programs at their whale and dolphin stadiums. Today, the original dolphin interaction program is only held at SeaWorld San Diego while SeaWorld Orlando allows you to wade with the dolphins at Dolphin Cove if you take part in the Marine Mammal Keeper experience. Discovery Cove gives you two options on how to meet dolphins. One is a regular dolphin encounter program and another is through a trainer for a day program.

I wonder how much it originally cost? When I did it back in 2005, it was $150, and I interacted with Buster the Common dolphin! But now the program costs $190... and for the time you get with them, I really don't think it's worth it. And they're making it even more restrictive at the Rocky Point Preserve with the constant 'Dolphin Encounter' programs. I really wonder... are they restricting us because they care for the animals safety? Or are they just wanting us to spend more money to get close?
