You may not like this. I was pretending to be a customer and wanted to see this little puppy (as I suspected something might be wrong by the way the boy had been acting in its "display cage". Stacy (Pet Counselor) removed the puppy, and then turned her back from my view (looking over her shoulder every once in awhile). She was trying to hide the puppy from the view of myself (and others around me), as she used what looked to be sharp scissors cutting (I'm assuming) fur from the puppy's rear-end/anal area. She lifted the puppy up in the air, and continued to cut around the puppy's anal area, and apparently, she hurt the dog, as the little puppy yelped at one time.

When I asked her what she was doing, Stacy told me, "Oh he got some bad spots on his rearend. She handed me the puppy (black/white, maybe 4-6 weeks old, Shitzu), and directed me to one of their "play booths".

At this time, I inspected the puppy's collar (which looked like the wristband a patient gets at the hospital. The puppy's collar read: M12248 (TEDDYB); SHITZU ("UNREGISTERED" - I assume means "from a puppy mill").

I further inspected its rear area, and it was very matted with small bits of feces, and the anal area was reddened and had small, red spots on his skin/tissue area (not from cutting any fur). I further noticed the puppy's hair underneath the collar band was wet to the touch. I parted its fur, and could see that the underlying skin had lots of little, red dots and the skin itself looked inflamed or reddened in varying areas and degrees.

  • OK here we go again you people make this TOO easy #1 its a brush put your glasses on i can see it #2 all that great footage and you FAIL to record the puppy up close,yeah right if that puppy was so bad off why didnt you show us#3 I can see why the woman named Stacy was looking back your standing a few feet behind her in a doorway watching her,kinda creepy by the way#4 Im pretty sure from this stunning footage that she was trying to clean it.

  • @warjlb1978

    Well if you're going to make me reply..."you people" already tells me you're in favor of puppy mills, cruel treatment of animals, etc....so that already puts you at a disadvantage.

    2nd) It was not a brush...she was using sharp scissors and sharp, tined brush used to pick out knots/matted hair (which is the way most of those pups come to PETLAND);

    3rd) She kept her back to everyone, not just me...

    4th) Since you weren't there you have no clue what she was doing...good night.

  • Stacy is a good person, this video needs to be removed, it's disrespectful if nothing else.

  • @mesmereyezme2 If you really want to help stop puppy mills I recommend doing something else besides standing there creepily and recording what might/ might not be cruelty. You know, go undercover (legally), foster rescued animals or find a better way to create awareness.

    You do get points for trying though.

  • @mesmereyezme2 Look, my dog was from here, and she's perfectly fine! So, it's pretty useless to make this video. If you are gonna make such a huge deal about the dog getting groomed, wow this is stupid and no I don't like puppy mills, but go do something else that is worth your time.

  • I SURE HOPE YOU KNOW ITS NOT LEGAL TO VIDEO PEOPLE UNLESS YOU ASK THEM FIRST. YOU MIGHT WANT TO GET THAT FIXED FIRST
