Take 1000 Cash For Clunkers cars and have the World's Largest Demolition Derby, maybe somewhere in the Nevada desert. 1000 team competing for 1 million winner take all prize. Broadcast live around the world on sports channels and YouTube...If it's Nevada you could even gamble on which team you thinks will win. All profits to go to charities.
In Salmon Arm the decision is which car has the best paint job and which is the funniest car. See the cars before they get smashed.
This is the 2009 Salmon Arm Demolition Derby!

  • I think think that car 87 should of won the best paintjob and instead of car 420 being called up car 36 should of been there to. These 60's and 70's cars are old but they still run good and strong. These days cars don't even last 10 years and are weak and ugly.

  • 58 chev WHAT THE F*CK WERE THEY SMOKEING =(

  • I think this is in Canada..shoot, if they just come anywhere in the US, they'll get torn up.

  • Come to Michigan...We'll tear all that old iron up with one Crown Vic. Did ANYONE at that derby know how to build a car? What's with this "co-pilot" crap? They need help DRIVING too?

  • @newportkid611 thats all we can race in this derby is stock cant change anything to car just change motors.. nothing to the body or frame ect...

  • talk about a stock derby and alot of shitty built cars and alot of good cars wasted. wtf people kill me

  • @CharlesDeCapua ya i guess it would suck trying to start a car and flooding it, although i find that with carb run cars usually if you hit the gas twice all the way to the floor then crank it over they will usually go with litlle to no more effort, although i can only say that this works with 305 olds v8's, 350 chevys, and 454 chevys, although most gm, ford and dodge v8s of the carb run era would probobly be similer.

  • @TheWolfpire cool man... i can't do carberators because i have CP (Cerebral Palsy) and my dad doesn't me to have any problems trying to start because i might flood the carberator in a heart beat..

  • @CharlesDeCapua cool, but as i said i never heard of manual tranny fluid being in and engine if it works cool but i never seen or heard of it.

but ya the Olds 305 is in my 1988 Cadillac Brougham and aside from the restrictive heads (emmisions bullshit) and the "computerized" carburation i love it, nice amout of bottom end torque but no top end (heads).

but ya the olds 305 were really nice engines and they only ended up in the caddys because they were leftover old stock to get rid of.

  • @TheWolfpire since you said 5.0L AKA 305... at my dads first derby, he had a 2 door cutless (the only one he can find) with a 5.0L he put manual tranny fluid in the motor (of course), wreaked the car... the motor still ran... and then my dad puts a brick on the gas pedal (the car was in park) start up the motor... the motor was screaming untill it ran out of gas
