@13AllyH thing with shrimp and gold fish is goldfish are known to nip so it would most likely nip the antenna and legs or tails off a shrimp with ease. Unless the shrimp has adequate hiding places. Wood Shimp/bamboo shrimp also need direct flow filtration like this guy's so they can sit in front of it and gather the nutrients flowing out with there fans.

@13AllyH I know you posted ages ago but I'd help anyway...Bamboo shrimp (aka Wood/Mountain/Rock asian type shrimp) are actually one of the only shrimp you can keep with goldies as long as they aren't babies. They are large enough for my goldies to ignore and you dont even need to bring the heat up too much. they do fine at 18 degrees C in my tank...hope it helps :)

@13AllyH Simply, no. You can NOT put Goldfish in a Heated tank. They are simply Cold Water fish only. That'd be like me putting you in anartica without a jacket or pants.

You can add almost any shrimp to a peaceful tank......I have 30 ghost shrimp and very rarely has one or two been picked off......they do a great job of keeping my tank clean.....I have 10 silver dollars, 2 tiger barbs, 1 pictus catfish, 1 black ghost knife fish, 1 dino bichir, 15 Malaysian Trumpet Snails, 1 mystery snail, 1 peacock eel.....and my shrimp do just fine....
Hey do u kno if it is possible to put bamboo shrimps with goldfish if you have a heated tank??? PLEASE ANSWER!!!!!!!!

I don't know, to be honest. Unless they're really small goldfish, I'd be worried a bit. I've only experimented with putting shrimp of any sort in with really small passive fish like neon tetras or white cloud mountain minnows.
