Outgoing President Bharrat Jagdeo today lambasted Moses Nagamootoo, saying he is someone who does not deserve to be respected.

"He didn't get the top job so he jumped ship and we got to treat him as such. We gotta treat him in the way that he deserves," he told a sizeable gathering outside Freedom House moments after the PPP/C handed in its list of candidates for the November 28 elections.

"We knew then and we know now that he did not have pride in his belly," Jagdeo said in his first direct attack on Nagamootoo for leaving the party and joining forces with the Alliance for Change.

"All this big loud talk on the air, he didn't have character. He didn't have commitment because anyone who one talks Cheddi Jagan's language and then jumps ship does not deserve any respect and I hope none of you respect him," he said

    Sweetlywicked,

Guyana is corrupted and it is a sad, sad situation.

  • this is the party with all the gays

  • RESIDENTS OF WHIM AND NEIGHBOURING VILLAGES MARCHED IN THEIR THOUSANDS LAST TUESDAY TO TELL NAGA HE IS A DISGRACE ....ONWARD TO VICTORY WITH THE PPP....... WHO DON'T LIKE THAT, KICK THEM.

  • @mapledaleguy

I am not thankful for nothing, cause all that happened in terms of development were entitled to us, it's our right.

What democracy are you talking about, a nation like this? Oh please, everyone(caribbean, intl news media) is condemning our so called democracy.

And please, show me where freedom is flowing in Guyana? I wouldn't go into details with that but lets look at the simple ones hovering the air right now. "Freedom of speech for the media and activists around Guyana."

  • @sweetlywicked69 He is addressing his supporters, this is an election campaign. You should be thankful that the PPP/C came into power and pave the way for democracy in Guyana. Today, freedom flows in our country, hence developments is evident.

  • Why he cussing down... instead of addressing the issues of the country and economy? This guy is a total shame and disgrace, he is the one that doesn't deserve respect.

  • @philcruises

You hitting the nail right right.

  • Berbicians know nagamootoo is power hungry. Except for some family members and a few sour grapes like himself , no one cares about Nagamootoo. He should brace himself for the RUDE AWAKENING the BERBICIANS would give him , come Nov 28th.

  • International community should scrutinize this Government and have them out like Gaddafi. Guyana isn't better off 50 yrs ago, it's the same people all the time, a beautiful country of less than a million and these guys can't manage. Nagamootoo is well respected in Berbice and I'm sure lots of vote would go to AFC, PPP would not hold majority anymore, people have been disappointed over the years. Look at the house Jagdeo build and look around the Country, how can Tourism flourish in such run do
