San Fernando Valley Town Hall (part 1)

The tea-scrota and other fringe loons were out in relatively small force, doing their best to spread hate and lies and corporate propaganda at Congressman Sherman's town hall meeting at Birmingham School in Lake Balboa (Van Nuys really) on November 15th 2009. Fortunately, this being Southern California there were plenty of reasonable people to drown out the idiots. And Sherman wasn't taking any crap from anyone. He shouted at one tea bagger who tried to ask a question without getting a number, and bawled out another for asking questions even though he was from another district. There was the usual crap about illegal immigrants causing all the problems, and the complete lack of comprehension of the health bill.

Most of what the right had to say was malevolent Beck-style propaganda, and the 'baggers were just there to be as disruptive as possible. Big fail, scrota.

There's a lot of video to edit, so it might take some time.

You're correct, It is the school, but these meetings are known as 'town hall' meetings. They usually take place at schools as town halls are either a thing of the past or not big enough to house the meeting.

The right-wingers seem to believe that the liberals are taking their money to give it to some fat chick who smokes crack all day and cranks out babies. In reality, most of their tax dollars go to military spending. Some tax dollars also go towards building/maintaining roads, a police and fire force and public education. I guess they're against public education too because they won't teach kids that the earth is 6,000 years old and dinosaurs and man co-existed in the garden of eden.

Someone, might have been you was a week or so ago had a great response to these guys that are like, "I don't want my money taken away from me to pay for others, why should I care about them." and...why should we care about them? IF they don't care about others, why should we feel bad or care about them losing money? I mean we should, but by their own logic if they don't care about other people, why do they expect us to care about them?
