Josh Jackson, assistant editor at LIME.com and the writer of The Green Room, takes a walk through a city where cars are the rule. Are you burning fossil fuels and polluting when you could be burning calories and setting an example?
That is, unless you are a woman. Possibly a "pretty young lady", at that. Like every other one in L.A. looking to model or act... then you have a problem walking in La La Land...
I live in Edmonton where there's about a million people and even here the traffic is bad. I choose to walk a fair amount (it's so natural and healthy) and often there's no one else on the sidewalk!
I agree with you. I live in LA (but not a native) and I do not own a car. I hate the mentality that you absolutely NEED a car. It's an elistist assumption, and people think you are an alien for walking or taking the bus. But walking is free, and I don't have to spend money on a gym. I also take the Metro to get to work, which is a hassle, but it will be with a car or without.
What a blow hard dickhead. Everyone knows walking is good you fat fuck. Get off the greenhouse gases already - we don't live in a greenhouse. Al Gore and you should cuddle and recycle methane gases. Did you get drunk at the game? If not - why?
The fuckers that hate cars should go find a train and jump in front of it as you are going to drive cars for the rest of your lives whether you like it or not.
The only way to stop emissions of any kind is lock up every door, and camp out.
very nice, that could help on both the health and pollution issues in the US. Al Gore would be proud of you. Id like to go to Long beach og Beverly hills as an exchangestudent some day. If you got time, make a video showing around LA and the everydaylife. It must be possible to walk in the centres of LA like beverly hills and hollywood right? Is the beverly hills/hollywood area a calm place or is there a big chance getting robbed on the streets?
automobile dependency is a religion. automobile dependent people are victims of their own ignorance, and make automobile "atheists" victims as well by making other conform to their belief system. its a religion. i could go all day. i hate cars so much

LA does need to lower its dependency on the automobile. It hurts the environment and looses tons of money
