fucking gold the way he is wearing all white while working on negines. dude your my hero ! and seen as i just bought a honda 2003 CRV you have just gone to the top of my legend list as well. i wont be taking it to a service centre. do it all myself!

@SRd240sx My manual says that the change is 4.4 qts. However, my change using the ramps, 5 qts consistently puts the level right at the middle of the dipstick.

One thing to be careful of: The CRV has been known to CATCH FIRE when the oil filter is not properly fitted back and oil leaks onto the exhaust or other hot system. So make sure there are no Leaks.

@rumeyj Specifically, the issue was that the filter installer from the factory had a gasket that frequently stuck to the engine block. Thus when the new filter was placed, the filter was double gasketed. Thus causing leaks. Yeah, you should always make sure your old gasket come off with the old filter.

What size of crush washer do you use? Where do you order it from?

@putnik00001 I order the aluminum washers from HandA accessories. I think they are $0.19 a piece. Previously to ordering from them, I bought M14 copper washers.
