SHARK investigators expose the cruelty and outright lies of the Clem McSpadden 2009 Steer Busting Finals, sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA).

Steer busting is the most dangerous event in rodeo. The PRCA is the only major rodeo association to sanction this obvious animal abuse. When an organization has no problem sanctioning such abuse, you may expect it will have no problem lying about it either.

Rodeo announcer Charlie Throckmorton falsely claims that the rodeo works "in complete harmony" with the American Humane Association (AHA), a flat out lie. The AHA released a subsequent statement completely and absolutely refuting Throckmorton's nonsensical claim.

Requests to PRCA Commissioner Karl Stressman for a public retraction and apology have gone unanswered, demonstrating once again the condition of ethics and bravery of the rodeo industry -- nonexistent.

  • Shark you are a miss informed and miss guided SOB. You have no clue on life on a ranch. Steer Roping like that is done every day on a working Ranch to brand or doctor Steers and Calves.

Shark I personally have known Charlie Throckmorton my entire life he is one of the most honest and up standing people l know. What you have done here is nothing more than slander a good mans name.tThe only motor mouth is you sir and you are spouting more BS than A Dairy with 1,000 head milk production.

  • @scout7610725 Right. Trip and drag steers, injuring them, in order to doctor them. The only ones stupid enough to believe that are rodeo people who don't care they injure animals in order to win prizes.

  • Where do you think you can get away with calling Guthrie backwoods and talk about people like you are. You are nothing of a man. Those guys are more of men than you'll ever be. Get a life. and eat beef.

  • @TheJkae Men don't abuse animals. Rodeo people do.

  • These steers go into wrestling and tripping and roping because the owner feels that they are ready for butcher. What's the big deal??? I practice this for a living and nobodies on my ass about doing it, so stop dogging the people who are trying to get into big time deals like the nfr.

  • @ridergirl2000 ""These steers go into wrestling and tripping and roping because the owner feels that they are ready for butcher."" Thank you for validating our claim that rodeo people don't care about these animals because they're going to slaughter anyway.

  • @mackc6r , and how well-padded are the steers? I don't see trainers and physiotherapists standing by, to limber up the "players" in this. The cattle didn't sign a million dollar contract. They signed up to be dead.

  • @ridergirl2000 , why, then, here's an even better idea, and I bet many rodeo people will love it. Just set the steer loose, and chase him down and kill him with knives. Blood, guts and gore! Who can carve the steer up faster? It would be KINDER than this disgusting display of cruelty. You guys should go to Spain, and carve up the bulls there. OH, the fun you could have... Great job, SHARK. There is NOTHING humane about this. For the rodeo to sputter, it IS, is ludicrous.

  • All if us have a duty to protect the animals that bring us food and clothing. Most of them lose their lives FOR OUR BENEFIT. And then we rope them so cruelly. What a world we live in.

  • @mackc6r Everyone who participates in the NFL knows the risks. The animals don't have the luxury of choice.
