my son was born at 25 weeks (15 weeks early) on the 5th july 2008. these two videos are pictures i have put together of his first 9 months. my waters broke and 39 hours later he arrived, with bleeds on his brain which has dilated his left ventricle, he also had a PAD which took two trys of meds to close it, he was ventialted for 7 weeks and needed steroids to get off it and has chronic lung disease, he still has mild ROP, and is behind developmentally. he caught NEC at 3 weeks old and had 24 cm of his gut removed and a stoma being formed as they couldn't put his gut back together at the time, if he'd have had the surgery an hour later he might not have made it.

Such a strong little man, it's truly a blessing what they can make it through<3

I'm 24 weeks right now with my little man and I was wondering if there was any warning signs/complications which led to the birth coming so early or if it was an all a sudden thing?

@ProudYoungMommey Thank you. i started having severe back ache on the tuesday, didn't sleep a wink that night, went to hospital on the wednesday and they said i had a UTI. lost a show whilst i was there but i didn't know as there was no blood in it was just clear, so i didn't say anything. sent me home without antibiotics as the pharmacy was closed. thursday morning my waters broke and went back. had him saturday morning at 5 to 1. wasn't a UTI afterall, was just labour.

MY baby was also 25 wks born 1lb 1 she was lucky now near 3 she didnt go through quite so much as your little bunny but had alot of breathing problems

@theindiemuzicgal its amazing what they can go through and still come out strong isn't it. marcus is 2 1/2 now behind by over a year with some things but he is so special and has done so well. glad to hear your little girl is doing well.

what a beautiful video & beautiful baby... looks like you have been through so much, my twins are seven weeks old today born at 29 weeks & still in hospital i thought i had things bad but you have give me hope... good luck with baby marcus & all the best for the future xXx

So Happy all is well with your little miracle, my wife and I are 25 weeks today and can't even comprehend seeing the baby for another 15 weeks, though after seeing your video, if things were to star early we would look to you for hope, thank you so much your little clip has made me smile today and i am sure you little buddy will make people smile for many years to come..
