Not exactly. She's right about the general population of Phnom Penh during that time. The 2 million figure you mention was only true at the tail end of the civil war (late 1974-early 1975), when the population swelled with refugees prior to the victory of the Khmer Rouge.

haha...nope. I did study Cantonese for a few months about 17 years ago, but I can't speak it today. I'd like to learn someday, though.
