This performance, I'm almost certain, was NOT at the Empire Rock Club. The Empire was closed by this time, I think.
This was at the Trocadero and it was Combat Records Ultimate Revenge 2 with Dark Angel and Raven of all bands.
I was there, it was great, but of course it was over 20 years ago. Maybe I'm wrong, but the Empire rarely brought in real Death Metal bands. The exception might have been the Voivod/Kreator tour in mid 80's.

First comment in a while...AWESOME FOOTAGE!!! They didn't give that one guy screen time during his solo though! That kinda sucked. Still, AWESOME!
-
@slayerific that don doty, their first singer. but good eye!

@thrasher1392 If one consider brutality alone or 7 churches is the 1st death metal, then Sepultura - Morbid Vision, Sodom - Persecution Mania, Kreator - Endless pain can all be death metal.
-
@thrasher1392 Yes, friend. For me Death Metal is all about atmosphere, the atmosphere of DEATH. Today, every extreme genre has their own characteristics established. But when Death Metal bands started spawning from Thrash Metal, it is really difficult to say which is extreme thrash and which is Death metal. As I said, only SBG gives a real feeling of DEATH and so it is the first ever pure death metal.

@deathbloodydeath yea of course man possessed to me was just a typical thrash band with sum gutteral vox thrown in and some dark ass riffs to top it off..
-
Kick ass song. I did a guitar cover of this on my channel check it out.

Yes, you are correct. I guess I just always thought that UR2 was shot at the same location as UR1.
