Within the next two years there will be the beginning of a battery revolution that will change transportation and the use of variable energy. 2010-2015 will be a time when the definition of the battery is transformed.

Yes, the efficiency of solar is greatly increasing. By 2012, when battery technology will be affordable for the home, solar will be as cheap as coal and oil. With nanotechnology we will be entering a time in about 5 years when solar generation will be spray painted on roof tops.

I don't believe the average home owner could afford the number of solar panels required to power their home to the point that they'd have enough energy left to sell back to the grid. I understand solar panel technology is improving but isn't it still quite inefficient?
