Eurodance from 80's. Laban is a duo from Denmark. Members: Lecia Jönsson and Ivan Pedersen.
"I close My Eyes (And Count To Ten)" released right after their 7th album: "Roulette" (1987) and was released as an single only.
It later was included in their "Greatest Hits" (1988) album.
It is actually the final performance before split up.
There is also a longer remix-version of this song.

YouTube sound quality really gives this song that old feeling... :D

  • laban amaze me like no other due, they have the magical formula, with their vocals and melodies, they can sing eurodisco, italodisco, eurodance, 80s new wave, awesome

  • Actually i didn´t know this wonderful tune was a cover of Dusty Springfields. When i think about it, it´s always a very thin line between sucess and utter failor, doing a make up cover. But i love this version of Laban´s wich i grew up to hear back in the late eighties. This tune was the first version i ever heard, therefor i will always love it dearly. The duette is very passioned and deals with young mature emotions.

  • I don't think the "Sandra" -sound and rhythm is suitable for this kind of evergreens. Sorry.
