@NecoMimi43 i think you'll find it was from the late 1950s / early 1960's when the MLF was proposed and debated - some 15-20 years after the death of Hitler, and the end of the Nazi (note spelling) regime and WW2. It's sort of the point...

@withashine If you read the print version of Kaze to Tane no Nausicaa you would know. older lifestyle dominant Princess Kushana (wants to be Empress) is both a "puma" and a well armed warrior queen. It stands for Multialateral force. It was proposed by the Americans in the 60's that would produce a fleet of submarines and warships with men from different countries manning the ships. Having Germany in the list of these countries is what Tom is making fun of.
