This is actual footage of a motorhome deisel pusher that I was driving, The fire started less than 5 minutes before I started shooting this video. Note the "helper fireman" More interested in staying clean than fighting fire. Lokk at the other Fire Video I have posted.

  • @DonTerhune1200cc I have a Class A gas power motorhome. I was wondering if its a good idea to run the generator while driving.

  • Its like putting out a house fire with your garden hose

  • Let it burn and protect your exposures...not much else you can do with the limited gear you have!!

  • Hose line control is the most important key "almost" anybody can be at the nozzle and put water on the hot stuff he is getting dirty, he's making the nozzle man look good. True story though not enough truck and water for that fire its barely making a dent.

  • @R5H4D0W : After thinking on it for a bit, I got to thinking that it may have been the RV's power generator that caught fire (Due to a carbuerator float getting stuck? gas leak onto hot generator engine or it's hot exhaust manifold/ pipe?) I own a 1977 RV, ... 360 gas engine in front, onan power generator in the rear. I'll never run the generator while the RV is moving.

  • @DonTerhune1200cc class A pusher, rear means an engine fire, middle [yikes] is a propane issue, front...honestly I have not witnessed a class A motor home that burnt from the front, even in a head on crash.

  • Sure is a small handline... could have been put to better use to control the grass fire on the other side, wet it down and maybe it could prevent a bigger brush fire

  • the only thing youre going to do with that line is piss off the fire its goin to laugh at you but do what you can untill the engine arrives haha

  • Shit let it burn...a red line isnt gonna do much and no scba isnt worth your health...gotta say though I wouldve done the same thing. Something about firefighters when we see fire its instinct to put it out!

  • Good effort on the first responders part. Too bad they did not have a bigger rig. Hope nobody got hurt.
