sadly a million miles better than the rubbish that passes as TV drama today, it's just so not watchable what they put out today, prob something to do with style over substance

An excellent series, and one which featured British actors of the highest ability.

Excellent series! Thank you so very much for uploading it. Much appreciated! So enjoyable to watch such fine acting and well written drama. I agree with what others have said here - sadly, they don't make them like this anymore.

Brilliant. Thanks so much BFKate for all the uploads. As a young teenager I was an avid watcher of all the programmes the first time round and I'm sure it fueled my interest in the history of the time. The characters seemed so real to me and I loved the dramatic tension. Such a pity this series has been overshadowed by the parody. But now I have much to catch up with, and many episodes to enjoy thanks again!

Not just Iranian Islamo-Fascists but also English Democrats that have studied history have some serious doubts about a great deal that passes as fact regarding The Holocaust; it isa dogma that brooks no criticism akin to questioning the bible in the middle ages. I for one don't want to be told what to think or what to say, that is what distinguishes us from the Nazis.Very soon across the whole of Europe it will be illegal to question the Holocaust. Thankyou for uploading.

Excellent scene setting episode

That sounds intriguing Seymourir, I can't imagine which parts of this would merit censorship.

So, err did they kill the Brit chap (who looks very like a young Julian Glover, btw)then? Seems a bit of a waste given the time they'd spent building the character. He looked set for a run of several episodes at least!

High fendwelller,
I guess you mean the dashing Christopher Neame. Oh no, that little bit of 70's top tottie played a pivotal role in the first series. I'll post some more eposodes when I get the chance, that demonstrate his magnificent errrr...talent. Heheh.

Again, thanks for your trouble. It's great stuff. That part 4-5 scene between Brandt and Kessler is worth the price of admission by itself, but that Luftwaffe pilot at the start of this segment can't act the skin off a rice pudding!

I know, that's one of the funny things about this and the beeb back then. You get these amazing actors doing great work next to total lumps of wood.
