Mannie leaves Big Pool and Fort Frederick behind to pedal toward the once thriving canal settlement of Four Locks. Now merely memories, limestone, granite, and iron, the ruins of this once busy canal village provide one of the most picturesque areas of the towpath.
Beyond Four Locks Mannie demonstrates that the towpath isn't for the faint of heart as the idea of guard rails never caught on along the canal.
Bike patrol, hahaha you Americans just think of everything. I don't think we have something like that. Even with the special 4 days of Cycling event.

Hi Mannie. That was great. We have a few extensive canal networks up here, too. Along the Susquehanna and Delaware Rivers. And don't forget the famous Roebling Bridge which was used to carry the arks over the Delaware River. From the PA. side to the NY side.
