Bonanza Woman of Fire Part 1

Complete & uncut full episode from Season 6. Ben's friend, Don Miguel, visits the Ponderosa with his two daughters, Margarita and Elena, and Elena's two very anxious suitors. Their mission? They're on their way to California to meet Margarita's suitor, Don Luis. Trouble is, Margarita is a "woman of fire" who manages to scare away all suitors with her hot temper. Since Margarita is the older daughter, she must be married before Elena. Elena's two suitors are quickly losing their patience, and Don Miguel fears his name will be disgraced if Margarita rejects Don Luis. lol I loved how Adam totally handled Margarita and spanked her! I think Adam completely enjoyed taming her and helping her out! Except when it came to touching his guitar! What a great Adam episode! I think it is so sad that he quit Bonanza after this season. I think the producers should have done all that they could to have helped PR to stay longer. The show was never the same after PR left.

@19ponderosa59 Yep! I love this episode - and every other one you mentioned - but one of the most endearing to me was "Ponderosa Matador"! It is really hard to choose from such a list of greats. When I was a little girl I was abused and neglected at home - so I lived on the Ponderosa. Adam, Hoss and Joe were my brothers and Ben Cartwright was my Daddy! Sometimes I go back there for a visit. Nuts? Maybe, but I think God gave them to me so I would survive... Cheers guys!

This episode from 1964 is maybe the best comedy in the story of the Bonanza. Of course there are others very good like Hoss and the leprechauns, Flapjack contest, The hayburbner, Maestro Hoss etc. But this one is basically a humorous version of the classic story The taming of the shwreud, and it is certainly very funny that an actor with such high need for classical theatre like Pernell Roberts, would be the central character in this one. Real good too for actress Joan Hackett as Margarita.

"They're smashing up my good china!" Now there's a line for a tough old ranch-hand if ever I heard one. And Pernell is magnificent in this episode... all the hijinx; the exagerated sneak to the stairs with the book in his hand, the "dumb" act with the chocolate and coffee, that beautiful, genuine, warm smile when Margarita thanks him`... and the look of pure astonishment when he finds out her new suitor wants her wild!!! OMG!! What a showcase for his talent!! Just great!! Thanks for this!!

Boy! Margarita was rude to everyone so many times in the first 5 minutes that it's no wonder Adam spanked her! What I can't figure out is why nobody else did! Or why she only got one from Adam!! Seems to me she deserved at least 3 more!! LOL!
