Fire at a sub-power station Ottawa, March 13 2009

A major fire at my local electrical substation today at 6pm. A switch malfunctioned during maintenance resulting in a transformer overloading and exploding. The fire spread to other transformers. The substation was soon engulfed in flames over 150' high, belching out jet-black smoke.

I would hate to near the exploding transformer, if I was I would get a fatal shock and be burnt to toast there is no doubt about it.

also the fire is burning of the carbon in the smoke, and the smoke super heated oil and inslation
