A major fire at my local electrical substation today at 6pm. A switch malfunctioned during maintenance resulting in a transformer overloading and exploding. The fire spread to other transformers. The substation was soon engulfed in flames over 150' high, belching out jet-black smoke.

  • I would hate to near the exploding transformer, if I was I would get a fatal shock and be burnt to toast there is no doubt about it.

  • also the fire is burning of the carbon in the smoke, and the smoke super heated oil and inslation
