Marita Macdonald from DentisTV, a division of ApexHub interviews a range of dental professionals at the BDA 2011 Conference in Manchester.

In the first interview, Marita talks with Jodie Bridge, Senior Marketing Manager for Philips Oral Healthcare who discusses the launch of two new products; their flagship toothbrush the Diamondclean and the Airflosser. For the Airflosser, Jodie explains how it provides an easy alternative to flossing your whole mouth in less than a minute and how the Diamondclean toothbrush can remove up to 100% of plaque compared to a manual toothbrush. Jodie explains how these products can be used for clinical care and the range of areas which Philips researched into for these products, including plaque removal, safety and compliance.

In the second interview, Marita chats with Dr Susie Sanderson who is Chair of the BDA Executive Board. Dr Sanderson explains about the number of regulations that the dental profession is now facing and the double-edged sword of CQC. There is also discussion of the future use of the 'Dr' title that is given to dentists.

Sylvie Sturrock is the third interviewee. Sylvie is Practice Manager for the Neem Tree Dental Group and Consultant for Samera. She talks about her presentation on the BDA programme which is all about practice management and its focus on finance, team and marketing. Sylvie explains how she imparts her experience and knowledge of practice management through running her own and other client clinics on a bespoke basis.

In the final segment, Marita talks to Dr James Russell, who presents his own programme at the conference on clinical photography. Dr Russell, who is an Accredited Member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry explains how the role of clinical photography played a part in this accreditation.
He also breaks down some of the myths surrounding clinical photography being complicated and provides advice for other dental professionals on how to get the right training and use the correct equipment. Dr Russell's presentation also discusses how you can delegate the role of clinical photography within your own practice.
