I am Latin Catholic with roots in Mexico. I would love to learn more about and one day join the Coptic Church, but there is not one near me in California. Anyway, it is good to see Orthodoxy growing in Latin America. I have seen also Youtube videos of a Coptic Church in Bolivia. Incredible! It is beautiful to see. God bless the Coptic Church around the world.

@Copticlogic Hi. As I wrote 5 months ago to deskan7, I am many miles away from the nearest Coptic Church, in the far north of California. There are certainly many churches in California, but most of them are in the southern part of the state, hundreds of miles away. There aren't any in my area. I have even asked the local non-Chalcedonian Christians (Ethiopians and Eritreans), and they told me to just go to the local Russian Orthodox Church like they do. I've been a few times. It's okay...

@deskan7 Unfortunately, the nearest Coptic church is many miles away (St. Antonius, San Francisco) and I don't have transportation, so the only options for Orthodox churches around me are Byzantine: Greek, Russian, etc. Even the Ethiopians and Eritreans who live here go to these, since there is no Oriental church. I watch videos like this one and read from the Philokalia and the Liturgy of St. Basil. It is good, but lonely! But thank you for your helpful offer. God bless you.
