FANG qin,a poor scholar wanted to take the imperial exam but with no travelling expense. He went to his uncle's to borrow some money but his aunt refused him. FANG felt insulted and sweared never take anything from this family. His cusine had pity on him and sent him a package of food with a valuable pearl pagoda in it.On the way to Peking he was robbed away the pearl pagoda by a bandit.
In this episode FANG Qin's cusine hides a valuable pearl pagoda in a package of dry food and urges again and again the safety to FANG

The lyric is:
Seven storeys of the padoda
Each storey there are glistening pearls
On the top storey the pearl only shines at night
Now I hide it in this package of dry food
Wish my cusin will be outstanding in the imperial exams next spring
Hope my cusin will take the pearl pagoda back to hometown in safety
Cusin, the food is my good intentions
There is a long way from your hometown, hope you will back in safety
Don't take a boat if there is a gale and surge
Don't travel around at night without lights
Don't sleep long when you feel tired on journey
Remember to take good care of the package
Cusin, the food shows my respect for your mother
You must take it to her in person
She will know my regards when the package is unfolded
Cusin, it's cold winter with bleak wind
You must stop at hotel at later afternoon and travel in late hours
Don't stay too long in a pavilion
Walk fast and rapid
Remember my words and take care of the package

  • And now talking "International":

I was surprised at first about the "Western" instrumentation and the orchestral arrangement, but was totally all right with that in a split second. Something different and special, indeed; very nice, and a very beautifully composed piece.

Sorry again for the language mixup; I thought Jörg had posted this video :-)))!

  • Hey,it doesn't matter.I can understand what you are talking about by using the online translation tool:-)

  • Hallo Micheal,
