Hank Locklin sings 'Please Help Me, I'm Falling' at the Grand Ole Opry in 1962. This song was a big country hit for Hank reaching #1 on Billboards Country chart and #8 on Billboards Hot 100. The lyric was written by Don Robertson and Hal Blair.

Lyric:
Please help me I'm falling in love with you
Close the door to temptation don't let me walk through
Turn away from me darling I'm begging you to
Please help me I'm falling in love with you

[ piano ]

I belong to another whose arms have grown cold
But I promised forever to have and to hold
I can never be free dear but when I'm with you
I know that I'm losing the will to be true

Please help me I'm falling and that would be sin
Close the door to temptation don't let me walk in
For I mustn't want you but darling I do
Please help me I'm falling in love with you

  • @archuleta2012ful wish they did and i was born in the 80"s

  • You can't this stuff! I love it.

  • I'm gonna make an educated guess and say that the pianist is Boyce Hawkins (1929 - 2001). Besides being a musician, Mr. Hawkins worked at WSM - TV (Nashville) as a weatherman AND a kiddie show host (Grandpa Moses). His older brother was Hoyt Hawkins, baritone for the Jordanaires from 1952 to 1982.

  • Great song

  • Thank you for posting, this has always been one of favorites. They sure don't make them like they used to, what a shame.

  • @codern As a song I think this is great, but the sentiment of the lyrics could make anyone married and faithful uncomfortable. It is about temptation to infidelity ("I know that I'm losing the will to be true") after all.

  • @manbehindthescreen1 Why would anyone waste their time if they don't like? I grew up on Hank Locklins music; love it. Thanks for sharing, and, for being polite to an impolite.

  • u shuld do canes and cabochons and awhipple for firstt place :)
