Kiwi outside. 2 days after the VET. We had to remove the bowl around her neck, as you can see it was irritating her and she ripped out her feathers around her neck.

Hopefully she will be fully recovered in 2 weeks. You can still see her feathers a bit straggly looking.

Filmed with Lumix GH2 14-140mm lens.

  • @Bopseflops hahah yeah I guess you raised your lovebird right! Honestly I think it's due to them loving you more or else I think they would just fly away. I've had cockatiels that if we cracked our doors open they would be outta here asap. I had Kiwi and another Sun Conure that would never fly away.

No, Kiwi is afraid of red things and nail polish :)

  • @joeydgraffix

Ok that's good news!, my lovebird is also 2 years old and i also can take her outside with me (his feathers are clipped) but he/ she is still afraid of cars and bicycles... so I have to train with that :D Is yours also afraid of cars?

  • @Bopseflops Thanks!!!! She's almost there! All her feathers that turned brown from over preening are about 95% gone, and her neck feathers still need like another month I'd say to grow back.

Shes a bit over 2 years old. If you see some of my other videos you'll see her as a baby.

  • Your lovebird is really beatiful!

Is she already fully recovered, and how old is she?
