Es ist die Schlichtheit der Musik Bachs, die unfassbar ist. Nicht "schön", sondern unbegreiflich. Ob nun in Kenntnis der Komposition, oder nicht.

@ohlordbabyjesus Is regurgitating generalist statements what is taught in universities nowadays? Christianity is defined as the religion of Jesus Christ - which is founded on the claim that his death was done as a ransom for all humanity. If that isn't good, what is?
Alternatively, if you were speaking of the 'fruits' of Christianity, of which Bach was one, why are you not targeting Mozart, Mendelssohn, Michelangelo, DaVinci, Shakespeare, or other Renaissance Christians?

Seriously. Bach is one of the few good things to come about because of Christianity.
