Lots of products in the world have names or labels that don't really mean anything. I think Chrysler was marketing the ambiance that their admittedly "trademark" leather upholstery styling exuded, rather attaching a name to an otherwise nameless high quality leather ( I know for a fact that Chrysler leather from that era is much finer than the leather of any other car I have ever owned or been in, including Jag & Rolls Royce.
