This is just a review of the film. Only my opinion. Kokuriko Zaka Kara early review. It's only a review. Only my opinion. And nothing to get hung about. Strawberry fields forever. Poppy hill never. just kidding. Its the best Studio Ghibli film ever. Well done!

  • the 'why anime and not live action' argument isn't really an argument, just look at 'Yesterday Only' for example, one of the best anime movies and there's no scenes that couldn't have been done with live action.

  • @heirihunziker - Only Yesterday is a great film and I see your point. Accept with animation you have the ability to have the same character as any age without the hassle of searching for a child that looks similar and labouring with prosthetics. And the ghost of her memory running around works very well in animation. --- Anyway, let me say that I don't believe it is an "argument" I don't want people to stop making these type of stories. Simply why?

  • where can you watch this movie? I have been looking all over the internet for it but I can't find it.

  • @xxMarilew - I would recommend paying to see it at the cinema. I believe it's also available to rent(?) on iTunes.

  • @comoyoko Is that right? Can I rent it on itunes, here in the States?

  • @patilistan1 - i imagine you can. If not this month then probably next.

  • i meant 'Only Yesterday', not 'Yesterday Only' :)

  • @wendy2001217 - Exactly! Same here.

  • I can't wait to watch this film!!! I know some people might not like it because there is no magical or imaginary theme in the film. Fortunately I am a fan of highschool love story, so I think I will like it.....

but if there are more Ghibili film coming up, I will still prefer movies with magical, imaginary themes like Totoro and Spirited Away since they represent more of Miyazaki's work.
