It is 1:30 pm on Thursday 19, 2012. I just came back from showing a couple of properties when as I got home I was curious to see how high Fanno Creek was and as you can see, the current level is easily 15 times its normal size for this time of year. It is a scary spectacle however we know that our house did not flood in 1996 when Portland flooded in a big way. I am however concerned about the homes down the street on Bohmann Parkway Ave. that have a basement. Thanks for sharing, pretty neat video. As long as we keep filling floodplains and wetlands, and keep building in those areas, we'll keep having problems. It's tough though cause its fun living next to a creek or river, I can speak from experience.
