Jim finds himself lost, desperately scavenging for clues where he might be. He soon discovers a house sleeping silently amongst the countryside so attempts to find any sign of life. No ones home but never the less he continues down the side of the house, looking for an open window or door if hes lucky. But Jim's luck has just ran out as he discovers what is Behind Closed Doors.

Note From Director: Heys guys, I really hope you enjoy this one as much as me and Jim (rugbydude12321) has while making it. I was surprised at the end result on how pleased I was with it and the length of the film. I think we spent 2-3 hours making this video (I think less) and its turned out to be my longest short film excluding the Fear Of Silence Series and Road Kill. Tell me what you think of it in the comments and feel free to subscribe!
Matt

P.S I loosely based this on The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) directed by one of my favourite fiilmakers, Tobe Hooper.

  • Great concept and well executed with the shot movements and placement. The only thing I didn't like was the shot where the wind hit the camera and made that scraping noise. If you get a good editing program you can remove the audio separately and place something else instead. Another way is to get a good camera where you can stick a boom microphone at the end of a stick into it which prevents this from happening. Great film though

  • Thanks man and thanks for the advice. What do you edit with? I use Song Vegas Pro 8.0 and it's pretty good.

  • Hey this is excellent a lot of the shots are really well thought out especially where the camera tracks behind the brick pillars and the parked cars, and i loved that last shot of the victim as the camera moves away from the window. great use of sound as well the music fits nicely and that first loud crashing noise actually made me jump! I'll have to take a look at some more of your films soon thanks for adding me as a friend.

  • Thanks man I really hope you like them :)

  • That was awesome. What software did you use to edit your film and where did you get the sound effects?

  • I don't get how it is a horror film, there is absolutely no scene with the monster that is behind the "victim". Not to be negative or anything, but you could do better. :(

  • Not too bad, but far from scary and the end was disappointing. Films just aren't as good when set over here in the UK :(

  • good but get longer pants!

  • Maybe next time Jim will bring a cell phone

  • Very cool really enjoyed it. Was totally gripped once he arrived at the house. Well done. 5/5
