In A corner in the Earth is a short documentary written, directed, shot and cut by Marwa Al Siyabi. This is a beautifully constructed film, made from a foreigners view to show the beauty and culture that exists in Australias magical Blue Mountain area. The film takes place in Katoomba and shows some very important areas that being Echo Point- The Three Sisters and Scenic World.
The film is both historical and informative. It gives useful information to tourists who plan on visiting the place in terms of details about the area. It is also beneficial and enjoyable for those who dont have the opportunity to visit the place. You are transported via the images and sounds and feel like you yourself are walking through Katoomba, experiencing its magic and feeling its past.
The film intertwines present day reality of tourism and rich natural beauty with the past myths and legends from aboriginal culture that today is a reason why so many people are attracted to the site of the Three Sisters.
This film is beautifully narrated with the strong voice of a male Australian and it is what draws you in as an audience member.
A beautiful film for foreigner and local alike.

  • The giant stairway, 1,000-ish stairs down, the same back up. If your knees can handle it, it's worth it.

The Skycar is awesome, but it's over too quickly. They really should pause it over the waterfall.

The rail-ride is awesome, but it's over too quickly.

The best thing is the air, it's so sweet and lovely to breathe, but you need to be down in the valley to really appreciate it. Up top, there are too many car fumes that ruin the air.
