  • Agreed that the touch screen is great, not exactly necessary but this is one of those situations similar to the wii. it makes things intuitive and an iPhone is so easy you could give one to your grandmother and she'd understand it better than the undusted dvd player you bought her last year. if you can live without touching everything, please get a real phone. the smudges suck but i'll give apple credit for a very durable screen. but as for the new back it makes typing a nightmare when lyin flat

  • no apple asked google not to implement it in there software, and google accepted, a palm right now has multi touch and so far not much legal action going on. plus multi touch is nice for zooming in and out of pages but thats it i cant see what other benefits there are.

  • Apple is so smart to patent that!! So much better than the G1 and the BlackBerry Storm.

  • I don't care for the iphone or the G1 etc, but I do have to say that as for the multitouch.... the only reason android (or anyone) doesn't have it is because apple decided to "patent" it.... there are some loophole but...
