Enjoy my first video from a new series dedicated to the djent movement! It is made up of the main riffs and verse parts from a song belonging to my band, Aria.

You can also check it out as a guitar lesson at www.guitarmasterclass.net

  • @froemoe Djent is the sound you hear when you chug on a low tuned guitar, using the low strings. It has evolved into a subgenre of metal, some may say, others would disagree :) I just used the term because I like the way it sounds :P

  • First impressions = WOLEVERINE ... playing shity music :P after few seconds after- WOW nice grove man :D

  • @cagapaisso haha i like this riff, i just dont like the title

  • @GraysCreekMilitia Never tried it :) I only use special baritone strings, but if one day I'll have me some bass strings, I'll give this idea a try, why not? :D

  • @taylorshred ya talk like a blind horse, the human being gets inspiration from the reality he knows every single gesture you take you doit case ya got inspired by samoane or something to it, besides thats like calling a jazz or a classic musician a faggot case they play in styles others did before...

  • @CosminLupuBaritone so what your saying is that your E string is a D string off a bass? = P Ive been thinking of putting a heavy 7 string pack on my guitar but going with 4 wound strings and 2 unwound so in standard tune it would be B E A D G B, but no e. Have you ever done this? If you have were you happy with it?

  • @just0a0tad Hey man :) it's an Ibanez MMM Mike Mushok signature baritone guitar

  • As far as I can gather, djent is like progressive metal mixed with metalcore, generally in a low dropped tuning or with a 7 or 8-string guitar, making use of polyrhythms and unorthodox timing, with a focus on a 'groove' (i.e. you really want to bob your head to it) . As far as I understand. But apparently Meshuggah is djent...? I don't honestly know.
