Ted Turner: I Think It's "Good" U.S. Troops are Killing Themselves

During an appearance on Piers Morgan Tonight, Ted Turner said he thinks it's "good" that U.S. soldiers are killing themselves because it shows humanity has evolved a distaste for war.

Some have argued that Turner is expressing his satisfaction at U.S. troops killing themselves because it indicates that humanity is starting to spiritually evolve an aversion to war.

However, Turner has repeatedly voiced his wish to see billions of people wiped off the planet via population reduction programs.

If you think Ted Turner wants to save people from dying by ending war, then why does he also advocate the elimination of 95 per cent of the world's population as well as China's brutal one child policy?

Ted is a great man. He's not perfect, but he's a very generous person. He especially helps preserve what he really loves: nature.

You must have some irrational grievance against Ted that makes you utter outlandish claims. Grow up.

First of all, I do know his intentions. He stated them in this interview. It honestly seems like you listen to only the first 19 seconds of this video. Doing so takes Turner's comment completely out of context. This is not hard to understand. You must be a moron.

Secondly, if I can't make an argument for him (and I can), you can't make an argument against him. You're playing with a double-edged sword, yet you are just a child in an adult's body.

it's never good to make an argument for someone, because you never know their intentions. unless your world view falls in line with Ted's, you come off REALLY naive.

to say "i think it's good" in response to suicide, is inhumane no matter how you slice it. JUST AS INHUMANE as unnecessary wars.

Ted's a hypocrite trying to prance around as a philanthropist. he's got investments in these drugs they're giving our soldiers. he's got stock in companies that are profiting from these wars!

TBC Note, Ted is not promoting suicide. He's simply stating that it's good for individuals to have a conscious that guides them to show concern for fellow humans.

Do you honestly believe that soldiers have PTSD because of medicine, dehydration, etc.? None feel bad for killing foreign troops? You don't think love can help a broken man? I want to hear your point. Ted is a smart man, and this interview clip only strengthens that.
