  • What? How can you compare two greats with different styles. You are sounding like those stupid citics who intentionally tried to break up the Jazz community with such statements.

  • Notice Jimmy always plays the coloring bass pedals in the center of the bass pedals!! That way he is siting up perfect. What a great player.Wish we could all play like him.

  • @srp1srp2

jazz is closely related to tap dancing!

  • @dennerlien: I use to study w/ Mr. Smith and he told me that he started playing piano first w/ his dad who was a tap dancer. He could mess around w/ the bass & drums but piano and organ was really his thing. He really knew both instruments in & out. He'd jump on the piano and sound like Bud Powell. Amazing musician and person.:-)

  • Some of his harmonic stuff here makes me think he was listening to Larry Young at this time ... or the other way around?

  • @greyblooz Touch.

  • Phenomenal!

  • how with a stratocaster!

  • that is Quentin Warren.

  • anybody knows who's the guitar player?

    this guy is great!

  • Bridge-pickup? Heavy flatwounds?
