@grrrrltalk They said that they were going to stop using models like that and now they're having a Campaign For Real Beauty and they're using real people.

@msvandieman But size 8 is big, no? I'm size 0 or 1 (naturally, not starved). Homemade soaps seems like a great idea :). These dove campaigns are such bullshit. Like the one about the retouching. It's seriously exagerated. I'm a retoucher and I've NEVER EVER done half extreme retouching like that for commercial job lol.

@grrrrltalk Actually, the preference for fair/lighter skin is ANCIENT! you can even look up the victorian ages, snow white, ancient paintings, etc. There are many people who lighten or darken their skin! african american women go tanning! so what? there are many white women who bronze their skin or lighten it! havent you seen dita von teese? who stays away from teh sun to avoid darkening? its personal preference! let people live! if they see beauty in fair or darker skin..oh well

@grrrrltalk HOLY SHIT DUDE!!! That IS fucked up.=/...I'm glad you had the BALLS to say something about the skin bleach...people often forget to mention stuff like that...
I think it's rather strange that this video was funded by the "Dove Beauty Fund," when Dove is owned by Unilever corporation, the same company that uses thin, "sexy" women to sell Axe body spray. The same company that owns "Slim Fast" weight loss shakes. The same company that markets skin-bleaching cream to women of color, telling them that they aren't beautiful in their own skin. Hypocritical much?
