  • This is the greatest nation on earth. The world knows it.

I'm an Indian at heart, and I think there's truth to the above statement. The Britain gave us a lot, thanks Britain.

  • by some distance the greatest prime minister the UK has had. Thank you Tony.

  • @enobnala My God no! The man only knew one thing, and that was how to win an election. He had no political guts whatsoever...and was a lapdog to Bush. Invading countries on false claims, and overspending until our economy found itself where it is now. Best Prime Minister my backside...

  • I didn't like Blair at the time he was PM, but in retrospect I realise he was MUCH better than Brown and many other Labour leaders such as Kinnock, Foot, Wilson, Callaghan, etc.

  • @enobnala What about Attlee?

His work with Bevan founded the NHS, they granted India independence and are pretty much responsible for the socialist tinge that seems to be instilled into every serious British politician.

In a 2004 Ipsos MORI poll of 139 academics, Attlee was voted the greatest Prime Minister of the 20th Century. In other public polls, he consistently scores within the top three.

  • @neon187211 The Tories were just as much to blame for the Iraq War.

  • CUNT

  • @navininsat WAS the greatest nation on earth. Now we're a bunch of pussies and the identity of England is lost.

  • @enobnala "by some distance the greatest prime minister the UK has had"

    what about

    Winston Churchill

    Clement Atlee

    Margaret Thatcher

  • What a brilliant speech. I forgive Tony about Iraq- he brought Labour in a more liberal direction that made them electable again. He won 3 elections in a row. Brilliant speaker, excellent politician. He decreased cancer death rates by 15% and heart related deaths by 20%. He improved the NHS and the education rates. He brought peace to northern ireland. Blair was one of the best PMs we've ever had.

  • @Xamy101 There was no mess and it seems that th country thinks that Labour was borrowing huge amounts of money of which is not true. the deficit is caused by job cuts and slow growth created by the sub-prime mortgages crisis in the USA that spread world wide through the sales of derivatives to UK banks. Blair or Gordon could not have stopped this as no one knew that this purchase was highly risky as they were repackaged by banks and sold onto other banks

  • dont like this man he mad this country in to a mess and made gordon brown clean it up but he had a noth and steped down wont balme him
