F430 GT Challenge- XTM XT2 Buggies Converted into on-road GT race cars

We really liked out XT2 buggies. Always a solid car, parts are readily available at Hobby People and the price is great for low budgets. But the Kyosho Inferno GT was always a dream car. With a little engineering and a Kyosho Ferrari F430 body, I had my 1/8 scale on-road nitro.

It might not be the outright performance machine that the IGT's are, but still a lot of fun for the boys in the parking lot. Hopefully we'll start building better race tracks and getting the suspension tuned in a bit better.

thanks for the comments. since this video, we've made some serious leaps and bounds. i've got 4 GT cars that i've converted now. and we all have created a legit track... not just doing oval laps around a towel on the ground..haha. the biggest thing is the tires. dont buy the stock kyosho crap... buy good on-road rally slicks for 1/8 buggies. everything else will fall in place. i've also created a custom carbon fiber radio tray and other mods on my car. will post video of car and racing soon.

Done it - found a newly released 1/8 scale body from Protoform, fits really nice, and less than half the price of a Inferno GT one... i'll post a video soon!
