@savx80 I saw him in Manchester, it was truiely an inspiration. The closing improvised piece lasted 55 minutes. I too wil never forget the experience and the honour of seeing Ravi Shankar live.

NOT the best I have heard from him. It's true that after a certain age, stellar artists wane down. The best is behind him now. It's a matter of mental and physical degradation that affects all.

at 32:17 he passes the cloth through his strings to mute and play counter rhythmns to Tanmoy Bose on Tabla. I have never heard of this practice (!)
