In this edition of the CampingSurvival.com video blog, Tom Sciacca welcomes Kevin Estela and other members of the Wilderness Learning Center to the warehouse. Kevin does us the great favor of taking us through some of his favorite knots using paracord, these knots include: the Diamond Knot, the Scottish Knot (also known as Ian's Knot or Double Bow Knot), and a Whipping Knot, plus a few other paracord tips and tricks! Are you able to apply these knots in your own life? Look out for an upcoming giveaway involving knots! Special thanks to Kevin and the Wilderness Learning Center for stopping by and teaching us about knots! Check out the links below:

  • napalm sticks to kids! :)

  • Thanks alot this video was very helpful!

  • Wow, this is great, I'm a adventurous person myself, some of these knots are wonderfull and I really enjoyed your video, thanks for posting, I'll subscribe!

  • When you are tying a bow for bootlace (whether Ian knot or traditonal), you want to pay attention to which loop crosses on top, and which loop goes underneath.

Your demonstration has you tying at least two granny knots, as well as one proper square knot. A tied square knot bow will lie across your boot, and the granny will want to align itself from ankle to toe.

Remember, "Left over right and under, then right over left and under". Teach your children well.

  • VERY COOL KEVIN :)
