What's that sound?--- The "SoundRacer " ---
A digital FM tuner for your ipod or mp3/CD player.
I'm testing this product and so far, I really like it. No, I kind of love it really. I am a car enthusiast but am presently leasing a very small car in Japan (a 3 speed automatic w/ a very small--but peppy-- 660 cc 3 cylinder engine).
The car is pretty fun actually but I really miss SOUND sometimes and this little is lil' "SoundRacer" has made trips to the grocery store fun for me again.
So, If you have a "less than thrilling car" and also use an FM tuner for an ipod or a MP3 player I recommend it.
BTW, It works better than my Audio Technica-tuner which I paid more money for (sigh). It doesn't work on all cars though (sorry Prius owners) so, check their website.

And of course has the added bonus of very convincing V-8 sound when you unplug your ipod or MP3 player (they also have a v-10 model too). The sound function "hiccups" every now and then---although I think it is b/c my alternator is SO small that the device struggles to pick up the signal from my tiny alternator.

But for any car lover stymied by a boring car its pretty exciting. I'm liking it the more I use it. From the vids I have watched online the V8 sound seems more realistic to me.

IMHO: Worth it just for the tuner... So, not a bad deal. And there is bonus fun for car lovers that are presently forced to drive gas sippers too!

They are a new company and want distributors. So, if you are a capitalist... you might be interested in getting "your piece of the action". Currently they have only one US distributor. I'm thinking it might show up at Pep Boys and AutoZone and what have you soon.

Actually the engine is only a 3 cylinder... I am using a "SoundRacer FM transmitter" ...the sound is coming out of my car speakers. You can check out the description for more details.

You must try to put a subwoofer and a power amplifier on the trunk and see the people's faces, that's will be priceless.

Of course, be carefull, I can do that in my country, I don't know what regulation apply in your country regarding sound contamination.

@jason123456789210 now you talking about incline engines, they are compleatly different to Vee engines, you said 'V4' and it is impossible for 2 V4 engines to make a V8, they will make a side by side W8, as for incline, its not a case of just 'welding' them together, a custom crankshaft will have to be made, valve runners will have to be made, it will need a custom timing belt for the valves! Lad i work with car everyday, give up!

@jason123456789210 so your german, an wahh?? the V is how the engine block looks, has to be made that way, the W is two engines place'd side by side (such as the veryron W16 engine which is two V8 engines place side by side) unless your are going to start making new crankshafts and dismateling and reforming the engine block, you will not make a V8, it will be a W8, which will do the same job.

it's already stupid and what makes it worse is it comes from the car speakers and has no sound coming from the Engine compartment or Muffler area like it should! just stupid
