Here is a special request for Katherine P in NYC. When this song was recorded, I can almost bet you this was either an MCI or GFI guitar. I may be wrong but the tonal characteristics are very thin, and treble laden. Dont get me wrong...its a great tone...Very Very Country!..peace all...mick

  • Micky, This is a very good song,I have ordered me a pedal steel,I'm going to try to learn the pedal steel. I'm glad your on here doing what you do. This realy helps. Thank you.

  • Mickey, this song was originally on Buck Owens' "My Heart Skips A Beat/Together Again" album which came out in 1964. Like you say, this was Tom Brumley playing the Steel. Tom is known for playing ZB's but this was before he purchased his first (1965). On this recording, Tom was using a Fender 1000 through a Fender Bandmaster Amp. Tom commented on this, saying "(The Tone)...was a thinner sound."
