  • While Shakespeare ordered the words ("The Queen, my Lord, is dead.") for emphasis-creating a dramatic pause-the sentence is grammaticaly wrong. I am basing that conclusion on theories/rules/tools from your own works (which are excellent!). The sentence reads to suggest that either the Queen or the King is the "Lord", and that may also indicate that the "Lord" in the sentence is dead. The sentence is confusing, unlike the other example that you offered.
