Watch "The Truman Show"...that IS why people stay "in" Scientology. They believe somehow, some way, it will work for them, OR they can help it work for others (even if it doesn't work for them!) That's it, that's why.

They cannot see the walls. Once they hit the wall, just like Truman, They walk up the stairs and OUT. First they have to hit the wall, and it's designed to keep them from even seeing it, same as in that show.

Thanks to you ALL :) One correction: At 6:42 I say "Fair Game"---I meant "Good Roads/Fair Weather". So Hubbard said you can use either Good Roads/Fair Weather (talk about nothing, really) OR Disconnection, at the worst. Now Disconnection seems to be used FAR more than it ever was years ago.

All through the 1970s, continued association with a Suppressive Persons was regarded, by Scientology, as a suppressive act. That's Disconnection. The nuances of it change from time to time. "Good roads and fair weather" is, itself, a low key kind of disconnection. Probably the next dictator of Scientology will lighten up a little, for a while, before tightening the chains again. It's a "game."
