Same thing happened to me,...except I managed to pick one up and not get sprayed or bitten.

A skunk came to my back yard, too, to eat my cat's food. Luckily, it never returned (or sprayed!).

Cute. Don't let them eat alot of cat food. Several skunk owners have killed their pet by doing so. Something in cat food that damages their kindneys.

Wet, dry, or both? They're all grown up now and only come around once in awhile, but I don't want to make them (or next year's litter) sick. Thanks for the advice.
